where the awardees also deliver a lecture.

community. It includes a Special Prize and an Encouragement Prize,
with specific age restrictions for candidates, and no supplementary
prize. The ceremony is conducted during the MSJ Autumn Meeting,
without an accompanying award lecture.
Awarded to individuals and organizations that have achieved
significant accomplishments in the research, education, and
popularization of mathematics through publishing and promotional
activities, including books, magazines, videos, DVDs, and other
related materials.
Awarded to the authors of (up to three) particularly outstanding
papers published in the Journal of the Mathematical Society of Japan
in the year before the award. The award ceremony is held in principle
during the annual meeting in spring.
