The Mathematical Society of Japan received a message of support from the London Mathematical Society addressed to the Japanese mathematical Community.

Dear Professor Tsuboi,

The London Mathematical Society wishes to express its deep regret at the tragic events which have been visited upon your country with the onset of the terrible earthquake and tsunami. Our members are as one in extending our hopes and deep wishes for the future of Japan. Our thoughts are with you and all of the Japanese mathematical community.
