The 2009 MSJ Spring Prize

The 2009 MSJ Spring Prize is awarded to Narutaka OZAWA, an associate professor at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, University of Tokyo. Narutaka OZAWA is recognized for his outstanding contributions to "Study of discrete groups and operator algebras". The Spring Prize and the Autumn Prize of the Society are the most prestigious prizes awarded by the MSJ to its members. The Spring Prize is awarded to those of age below 40 who have obtained outstanding mathematical results. The detail of the Prize is online.

The Prize Presentation Ceremony will be held March 27 on Komaba Campus, the University of Tokyo during the Spring Meeting of the Mathematical Society of Japan (MSJ).
