Takashi TSUBOI Takes Office as President of MSJ

Takashi TSUBOI, Professor in the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences at University of Tokyo, begins this month a one-year term as President of the Mathematical Society of Japan.

Takashi TSUBOI's main area of interest is topology, specifically, the theory of foliation and diffeomorphism groups.

The board of trustees of the year 2009 is formed by the following members:
